What's on the menu

We have been really fortunate to begin this term with two sessions at the What's on the Menu programme. Last week our kitchen group baked a delicious batch of beetroot cupcakes while our garden group weeded the garden and planted a range of vegetables.

This week the garden group harvested some red cabbage, celery and broccoli so that the kitchen group could prepare a vegetable pasta for us to enjoy. Then the students worked hard to restuff, sew and refresh the garden scarecrow.

We had a great time working in the kitchen and garden and we are very grateful to our wonderful volunteers who provide this opportunity for us.
